Designed for jigging, straylining and bottom bashing, these gunmetal-grey reels have spools and handles anodized in a hot-red colour, as well as carbonite drag systems, XL drop-down gear boxes, and ergo handles.
The Cortez series also features: corrosion-resistant graphite frame and side plates; stainless-steel main gear and pinion gear; a machined-aluminium spool; 4 + 1 stainless steel bearings; external magnetic cast-control; dual anti-reverse; and a self-lubricating gear system. The Cortez 55 overhead is a new addition; it has a spool capacity of 550m of 0.55mm line, a drag output of 8.3kg, and a gear ratio of 4.7:1.
