Lance has fished for over twenty years, sixteen in fulltime charter. Enchanter fishes all year round with over 250 days at sea per year following the best fishing around the country. Lance prides himself in getting results for his clients and is serious about charter fishing. If you want excellent service and someone who works hard to produce the results then Enchanter is the boat for you.
Boat Details: Enchanter is a custom built 56ft charter boat. 1.8 metre draft and 32 tonnes. Her share size and weight makes a very stable and safe fishing platform in all weather conditions. Complete with full walkaround decks that enables the angler to follow their fish. A large iced fish hold to keep the catch in premium condition covered with salt ice on every trip. There are three livebait holding tanks and one see through deck tank. Plenty of rod storage with over 50 Rod holders
Inside: Large saloon with two seperate tables and seating for a dozen people. Two stoves,
microwave, freezer, fridge, TV and DVD and stereo. Three cabins with eight large single bunks with air circulation. Shower and normal sized toilet. Seperate Crews quarters. 240Volt power throughout for charges etc.
On the Bridge: Seating for ten or more. Latest commercial electronic mapping systems, Computerized software, Radar, commercial sounder 2x GPS autopilot and internet for ongoing weather updates. Stereo system and flood lights for night fishing.
Fishing Equipment / Tackle: Provided on request @ $35pp per day all quality Shimano and Penn sets, braid for deep water, gimbal belts and assorted rigs for every type of fishing including gamefishing, deep water, straylining, bottom fishing, live bait fishing, and bait fishing. We can also mix and match, with assorted rigs available to purchase singularly or bait only options.
Safety Equipment: Enchanter is in the Safe Ship Management
sytem and has all equipment to meet MSA requirements including Solas B life Rafts, EPIRBs, life Jackets, SSB and VHF Radios, etc Enchanter has an off shore 100mile Maritime NZ survey for around NZ incl Chatam Islands one of few charter boats in New Zealand that has this.
Charter Rates: Ranfurly, Three Kings and White Island trips based on $3000 per day or $375each split between a group of eight anglers. For Westcoast bluefin the rate is $225 per hour minimum 48 hours for six anglers.
Trips depart: Whakatane from October - February. Mangonui February - June and Greymouth or Westport July - September
Food: Charter can bring their own, crew will prepare, cook and serve or we can fully cater for $60pp per day. Catering includes three full meals per day with snacks, desserts and morning and afternoon teas.
