Here’s a chance to earn a few bucks for those fishing photos team!

Last year Allen’s calendars got a new project underway with a calendar called “Reel Action” and the first in the series (2011 calendar) will be on sale soon. If you have any great fishing shots you think are up to calendar material then post them here and someone will be in touch if it gets selected. Each photo used earns around $50-$75 depending on the shot. Shots need to be reasonable sharp and in high res to be suitable.

A cover shot earns substantially more and the 2011 cover came from Guy Jacobsen with the proceeds going to Guardians of The Sea Charitable Trust. The shot shows Eryn Jacobsen in action on a stripey on 8kg. Allens are looking for action shots rather than dead fish but any really top shots are worth posting for consideration.

The Option 4 team will have the 2011 calendars on sale soon with their proceeds going to the Guardians of The Sea Charitable Trust and I’ll post details here. Any questions send me a PM.

Update 25/07:

Reel Action Calendars personalised for your business.
If any business wants a run of calendars done, contact Steve Sangster at The Guardians of The Sea Charitable Trust. GoS fund recreactional fishing advocacy and that means more fish in the water and it's in our interests to support them as much as we can. Steve will be able to give you pricing etc as it depends on quantities and the variable options for personalising to your business.
Steve’s ph: 021-555-485 daytime / or 973-4712 or mailto:[email protected] - e-mail .

Reel Action Calendars 2011 - your own copy.
Available in the next week or so. Will post as soon as I'm advised they're available.

Shots selected for the 2012 issue.
The team at Allen's calendars are looking through these and some other shots over the next couple of weeks. Anyone with a photo that has been selected can expect to be advised around mid August.

Sounds good Grant

Am sure judging by pics submitted on the forum there will be
many qualified to be in the running.

Is it restricted to saltwater only ... or open to freshwater pics as well?

Also would be great if a worthy charity could be identifed that forum
members, if they so wished could donate any procedings to ...... so much
the better if it was fishing related.

Hmmm, Ok I have put up some of my better photos with this post. All pics can be supplied at full res in JPG, NEF or TIFF files (taken on a 10mp or 12mp DSLR).
