Maybe you can answer this question Grant?

What's the cheapest type of meat? Dear balls. They're under a buck.

Looks like the topic's been thrashed to death already Simon. Someone suggested calling Grant or Mark or whoever took the pic... that seemed like a good idea but looks like a stripey to me.

Actually, a point that lends further weight to the stripey argument is that those damned things all too often want to go and perform all those spectacular aerials and do all that thrashing about with the sun behind them. Same problem I had trying to get some decent shots!

Just spent a few days up at the 3 Kings, over the past 2 weeks, 3 days on King bank, Magnet area, we did not see a marlin there, or 1 day spent at the top of the Middlesex bank, so not sure is effort is worth it, fantastic bottom fishing with plenty of Kingfish up to 45kg and big bass, so all good, got 1 stripie at 115mtr off Surville Cliffs, then a nice Mahimahi off Shallow patch in 130mtr, had multiple shots from 3 stripies between Cape Kaikari in 130mtrs to back of stevies in 100mtrs over last 2 days, very nice blue 21 deg water there at present. good luck to all, also lost big sword at Garden patch last week after 1.5hrs , pulled hooks Bugga!!Cry
cheers swordfishsteve

Hi fellas
I'm heading up to parengarenga for the week on Tuesday and contemplating putting a day or 2 in with the lures out wide. Anyone know if there has been many fish still floating round? Likely areas the canyons, surville or middle of the bay? Any info would be appreciated, cheers
Mitch

Hi Matt
Coming back tomorrow to Ak, have to work and weather turning to crap, yesterday and today, around 10-15knts from N/W to N/E, today, not back, a little sloppy but fishable, best temp of 17.5 deg, at the tongue, a few sauries jumping around, no marlin seen, but ya never know, no sword bites today for me, cheers and good luck Matt.
