Rough as guts today off np. Went out then pulled pin after an hour. Managed a nice 16kg king on the marlin gear

in short no , the port of taranaki is not in any way set up well for visiting rec yachts or boats , but in saying that if you needed help refueling it could be arranged with a little bit of forward planning for a fish.net member on a mission down the west coast.

Thanks for that. On the chart it shows an area for small craft mooring in behind the breakwater. Im assuming that is ok to spend a night in??

There is a small marina that has the odd spare berth , have used it during comps think it's $20 a night or something , the breakwater does provide shelter in most seas .
Local club does good grub thu -sun and cold beer every night , there's a flash restaurant and a h&f at breakwater too and the thriving metropolis of New Plymouth is only a 15min walk away too .
