Asahi Super Dry is my go to now. Mother in law sends over a random 6-pack from Japan each month, yet to have a bad Japanese beer. Last month was Orion Summer Ale from Okinawa, bl00dy nora it was good!

Asahi used to be my go-to but now if you buy it in NZ it's brewed in Beijing. Now I don't have anything against chinese beers, in fact I've poured more than my fair share of Tsingtao and Yanjing down my gullet, but chinese Asahi is just not the same as the real deal.
Kirin Ichiban is a nice drop too, as is japanese Sapporo.

The little ~3L kegs? If you get one you've gotta drink it pretty quickly, they go flat in a day or so and then it's NASTY.

If you like stout coopers is hard to beat.

Cheap, flavoursome and packs a
Good punch.

$14 a six pack or $5 for the 750ml Bodgie.
