I had to go see a man about a boat late morning so I decided to go for an early morn sesh off the rocks - I left home while it was still dark so I could be there half an hour before light, I asked a mate if he was keen but on the answer phone last night was hell no - Weather is crap. I havn't been for awhile and with a wind change I thought I might get a couple of hrs before the weather came in. Heading around the rocks in the dark I made my way to spot X and with the tide coming in with the early morn mish everything was lining up for a great couple hrs on the rocks. Clicking my head torch on I geard up the first rod (Floating baits) and flicked out half a pillie, gearing up the second rod I flicked it out with a whole baby squid. I had a couple of taps, with in a couple of mins my second reel screamed - flicking it into gear my first fish was on. Shining my head torch towards it I could see the dark red flash a couple of times then I slid a nice Snap to about 5lb up onto some seaweed, I had put my other rod down to grab this one and I noticed in the light the other rod was buckled over. I grabed the other rod and up came another nice red around the same size. I quickley slipped one of them back in and put the other in the chilly. With the sun just starting to rise I had my baits back in the water and over the next couple of hrs I had pulled up 7-8 nice Snaps between 2-5lb and a couple of Trevs as well, Releasing all but three Snaps and one Trev for home. The tide was coming in and the bites although hadn't slowed to much it was time to pack up and head home. I got home just after 9.00 then had to head straight back out to see a man about a boat.
Awesome morning sesh on the rocks - Couple fish in the bin and letting go a couple of nice fish and home by 9.00

tight lines

I do not lie about fishing, I willingly participate in a campaign of misinformation.
