Hey guys have recently brought a accurate bx600nn spooled with 80lb and now need a rod to match, quite like the talon but am unsure as the jigstar and jm look pretty sweet too. Getting rather confused! Anybody using the talon? Going to the banks in Dec and dont want to be undergunned. Budget would be the talon price of 750 odd.

Nothing wrong with the Talon but some very nice Jigstar rods available now, they are well proven at the banks etc and you might even have a bit of change left over.

I have the jigstar ninja paired with an accurate bx500xn loaded with 80pound braid. Havn't hooked anything huge with it but it is a very nice combo to jig with. Rod has a very nice action and was well priced from memory.

I have a 250 talon heavy metal and a 350 talon.
 
I had the 350 talon for ages and it just works the 300 -400 grm jigs right for me and can subdue any fish, but it is a bit bigger.
 
I have an Accurate 600n on it so it's my big fish rig and if I want I can jig very deep, which I never do so could have got a smaller reel.
 
 I wanted a 250grm for "everyday" and got the jigstar new.
 
I found it a bit soft compared to the slightly stiffer feel of my killwell but the rod is great.
 
Then I got to buy a 250 Talon off here used as it was such a good deal and I wanted to see if it more fit with my beloved 350 talon in terms of action.
 
It's a tiny bit longer than the jigstar which I like and has that little more lift or stiffness that I like when jigging.
 
It is still not as silky smooth as my 350 which for some reason is a super rod to use for me.
 
I like it much better than the jigstar though and the first day I used it cut the foregrip with the braid on a nice fish and it handled it with ease.
 
I wish I could take you out and put you on both rods, they are very different to me.
 
I am sure strength and quality is there in spades for both it's just feel.
 
I like the more lively direct feel of the Talon, if that makes any sense?

Thanks guys for that, yip have spoken to mib and sounds good also. Now need to decide what to do? Im sure the quality is there with all the top gear

In the end when you catch that first fish on your new rod it will put a smile on your dial and food on the table (put the big ones back).

Agree with what already has been said above.

For $750 you are going to get a mean rod, any of the ones you mention will work great, synit, jm, kilwell talon, jigstar. Of those brands, the rods that I have used have been really good rods in my opinion.

Agree with with Rob says, you could go a jigstar and still have some $ left over.

Garry makes some good points also.
