Apparently Warren McIntyre on Senator hooked up to what he suspects was a Yellowfin in rough conditions on the way up from Whangarei. Warren has a huge amount of experience and wouldnt have called it for a fin unless he was pretty certain. Plenty of boats out for a look today.

Taking sportfishing charters to the next level.

Thanks Phil - very encouraging news and lets hope there's some numbers of those puppies this season - it's been a long time between fin!

well was out yesterday water was 20* blue as can be and clean with the odd jelly belly

got some very nice skippies, saw sun fish, flying fish and saw my 1st marlin this season, have caught a few so tend to know what they look like.

word is the place is also heaving with sharks of all sorts and sizes which is a good thing and a right prik if your using baits, I can see with the amount about many will be towing lures to avoid them.

out again this weekend soley to tow a lure or two so fingers crossed.

Interesting BA, I found a way to get on line by ph, new tech to me, but have assembled all toys and will be ready to go tomorrow, Weather seems to present a better sea state tuesday and particularly Wednesday.
