Well... here we go again... but.... this time no wind or gale warnings - Saaaweeeeet!

Kicked off out of Gulf Harbour about 4pm friday nite and enjoyed the ambienceWink on our way out to GB. Slipped into Nagels to check the mailLOL and collect some baits. Yeah.... these were the go....again and again and .....not a bloody sp in sight - bait fishing is where its atLOL

polished off a few bowls of soup and hit the hay in eager anticipation of the morning shot...

Sunrise....

and on a flat sea it starts..hook up after hook up and a steady stream of our mates thumping tails on the deck..

zzzzzzzz click - ooooooooh....

tap tap tap zzzzzzzz - click......whack...feel the steel!

KOJAK and OF2FISH working the bricks too..... field testing eh boysLOL

our mates....

and the bins begin to fill with fat snapps to 6 kg...

after a wee dry spell and a bit of snapper snooping we swing into a decent work up . Dolphins, whales and gannets doing the thingBig%20smile

 and yip... ITS ON!

the boys were happyClap

even a thoughful look here and thereConfused close those eyes! We dont want to see how red theys isLOL

the day went on and the bins got filled but as the evening starts to set in up turns a frostfish in the melee. We got 2 of these..YUM!

Hows this for a sunset...wicked! Even better when you're thereWink

Back to check the mail and fill up on baits and beer, hit the hay and up early for a prospect out in 75m.

Get out there and its dolphins everywhere but in small pods and sparodic work ups. Really fast moving and not really fishable so we move onto the "traffic jam reef" a quick hello to these dodgy mofos and then it's off to greener pastures after only a couple of 5 kg fish and not much else..

Los toros

Hit the brick with fresh slimies and macks and its on again..

Double hook ups...

triple hook ups....

solid line pulling snapps...with smashed livie hanging out of its gob! Did I mention that bait fishing is where it atLOL Snapper Candy!

Kick rse whacks in 60m...some had to stopped with the ole "hand drag knob" approach - clamp down on that mutha! Feel the burn!

this was a solid hook up too.....

a few tense moments....zzzzzzzzzzzz thump thump zzzzzzzzzzz oh yeah!

sweeeeet...another line weight fish.
a few other forum members getting on the drift line in shocking conditions.. Hookaman and Jugsta on the good ship Sea Esta
They got a few gooduns too but failed to produce evidence so yet another tall story and a few rounds to fork outLOL

The day wore on and the bins filled.- mmm that is every bin we had filled with good snapps and the odd extra. Species list this trip:
Snapper
Rat Kings
Hapuka
Terahiki
Blue Cod
Frost fish
Parrot Fish
G Daddy Hapuka
and the plethora of reef fish like ya Wrasses, ******* Cod, Scorps etc etc
Nearly home time - we full.

You can't catch em in the office or from the couch - get ya butt out here its going offLOL

I'll post a you tube clip if it ever lets me upload it...hell work up!
