Uuhm - so it happened that for the last couple of months I'm a bit crook with pleurisy, but happily ignored all pain and went diving anyway (bit less though). Can't feel any trouble inside my lungs, no coughing, wheezing, short on breath(hold) or any of that sort, but after dragging on for so long I start to get concerned when I'm back to normal.
anyone had some experience with it? I'm getting mixed messages from the gps. I'm not after medical advice, just some reports…

Go and see a sports doctor. My local GP recommended I give up diving altogether after a ruptured eardrum (sports MD suggested it would heal itself!) GP also suggested I stop playing rugby after a cauliflower ear - sports MD cut it with a scalpel, drained it and I was back doing the damage in no time...

Sorry to hear it Klaus.

The only advice I've ever had on the matter was that you should wear gumboots. Make of that what you will. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

hahaha great! thanks UJ - will give the gumboot treatment a go. Been out today and diving doesn't seem to make it worse (nor better). Guess I'll have to keep on and see what happens.
