Pakiti are the suckiest fish ever. They get in the way when trying to catch baitfish. Im trying to catch piper or a mac for a livey and the pakiti get in first. 

It would have been a lot cooler if god made spottys vegetarians. 

Not even the seagulls who love fish and are the biggest scavengers  that breathe life want a piece of spotty.

when desperate butterflied they work on snapper, sometimes suprisingly well on winter kelpiesWink

At times they can be very good as liveys with a medium sized hook thru its shoulders...John Dory, Kings, Snapper...

You will catch fewer spotties  and more piper/macs if you keep your baits off the bottom and more at the top of the water column.
