Hi All.

Been a while since I got wet…. Weeks work was done, and  with zero swell on the coast and what looked like mint vis from the shore ,  Brett from Tairua Butchery and I decided to go for a dive on his rig 'Ocean Hunter', time to gap it 1.30pm Fri avo - we were out there

Mean little dive round the corner in 8m right up to snorkelling depth and boom

Bunkered down Saturday with all that wind and hatched up a plan for that tucker!, munched through all that cray goodness Saturday night with whanau, cray tail, crayfish sliders, and some Paua sausages done in a hash, (Brett had got the paua at the aldies the weekend before and put them into paua and pork snarlers - mean!)

By Sunday morning the slop had blown through time to get amongst it again.

Blew 90 bar on a rock out front in 15m that often holds some nice fish, wicked dive in amazing vis, but most of the bugs were smallish so shot up to a shallow patch near hotties, ended up getting into them in 2-3m, including a solid one

Felt sooo good to be back under water, can't wait for the next mission, chur!

Yummm.  Thanks for that update Carlos!  Can't wait to get down that way and have a splash or two - looks like there's a few bugs about.

brett gave me the sausages mate, pretty sure it was paua mixed with minced pork and a fennel sausage mix he also uses with his wild pork sausages. i just diced them up and fried in loads of butter with parsley and some spuds I had pre cooked in the same water as i did the crayfish
