went to mayor today trolled the 200 line up past mayor (20.2c) out to the 400 (21.2c) then across to the aldies into 120 (20.1c)  and followed the 100 line back to mayor and home ,, seen a marlin giving some bait a real hurry up half way back to mayor and got a 8kg albie for dinner , the albie had 7 small gemfish in its guts
buying lures is one of those things only beaten by lying-down activities

There's skipies and Alberts by the truck load on the 150 / 200m line all the way up behind the Aldies. We got 20.8 at that depth.
Aye-Aye cloth eyes.

Quiet day for us out of Whakatane today, bugger all skippies on surface and bait holding quite deep. Apparently one of the local tuna boats got a 25kg Wahoo outwide yesterday

Saw a Stripy being weighed this arvo at Whakatane ramp. Went 103kg caught by a young fulla on 15 kg if I heard right? Awesome effort by him and crew-especially fishing from the 5 m tinny they were on! Wicked.
