Went out yesterday to the Knolls and back covering 100 mile. Had one pull the shotgun but didn't see it. 10 minutes later almost drove over one. Saw one free jumper. Speared a mahimahi and got a 14 kg bull on the way back

Seen worse Eric - Like couple of football fields probably 30 mtrs plus deep few years ago-happens all the time.  Sickening to watch.  Like beer disapearing from planet..... or worse.

Day one of the Onebase
Hard day for most out there today with only a couple (unless more were caught after we got in) tagged today. We worked the area South of Pinnacles from 160 - 130 bait but no sightings or other action. More action on the RT when the wind shifted off the South to more East late in the day.

In early (16:00) and didn't stay for the prizegiving as crew was crook, so didn't get to say hi to other fneters out there doing it this week.
Out again tomorrow.

Hopefully there's a good bite as the pressure drops with Pam approaching. I'm stuck at work with a spot for the onebase going begging. Good luck out there tomorrow.
I love catching fish. But fishing isn't always about catching.

Tasty size that , oceans is an underestimated area there are fish there more than any one would imagine because not many run through it, well done team Eric.
I am going Manukau for 2 days in morning, West coaster comp, so hope to have something to report after

Fished off Oceans and Taiaruru today. Plenty Gannets working and chilling all day though the whole area. Albacore and other bait balls but we couldn't buy even a touch.
Conditions not that flash most of the day but improved in the arvo again.
One Very good blue dropped in the morning 2 landed and one of them was the same boat that lost the beast. Don't know the weights. Also 2x stripies landed today.
Out again tomorrow for a while but weather might dictate an earlier finish. I don't mind the swell but that chop on top is unpleasant.

Best of luck out there tomorrow, some of us have to go to "School"
Those that say it can't be done are being overtaken by those doing it.

Came in early as expected. After 2.5 days of getting the s****t knocked out of us for no results we decided this isn't fun anymore. Could/would of stayed if maybe there were a few more fish about.
Went North today but not wide enough by the sounds of it.
Won't be out tomorrow either.
Good luck to those who are sticking to it. You all deserve a little success.

More fin and Mahi today and a blue lost on the bottom Cry Odd Stippy too but a lot of boats not out today or at least called it early.
Sounds like the area most boats are having the fun is Furuno.
Fingers crossed for the weather on the small boats too. I was hoping to get a day or two in this week too but not looking too flashCry.
