We often hear about shocking service from businesses in the marine and fishing industry so it is really nice to report on the exceptional support I received from Greame and his team at Synit.

I ordered and received a Synit Bay Star rod 2 weeks ago. The first blooding of the rod took place 3 days later with a trip to Little Barrier where the rod was duly blooded and handed around to the crew to experience the beautiful action while arguing with some stroppy snappers.

Later that evening while unloading the boat my bro sheepishly said to me " sorry bro, the tip of the Synit got broken off"!! Somehow he or whoever else handled the rod damaged it when loading it into the cabin.

To say I was shattered at what had just happened is a huge understatement. It is hard to describe that gut-wrenching feeling of disbelief when your pride and joy got written off after the first fishing excursion.

I contacted Greame and asked him if he could build me another rod and wether he could re-use the titanium guides etc to limit the damage of replacing it

Greame came back to me and said how sorry he felt for me and said that he will use some components of the broken rod and build me a new rod --- For Free !!!

Thank you, Graeme and the Synit team, you made me realise that there are still some exceptional human beings out there.

You and your business deserve to thrive. Thank you.

Exactly Lethal ... WOW. I have a similar story I will share:

A few years back I stuck my hand up for a trip with Memory Makers Charter out of Whakatane. Was a group from here, sorry if I can't remember everyone .... Boulder, Dead Ant, Snap, Boz, Deacs??? crikey, I have to ease up on the drinking....

Anyway Boulder gave me a lift down, telling me I didn't need to bring any gear as he had enough ... and he did. I don't think my gear came out of the back of his ute. Anyhow, he was telling me about his new Synit GTR softbait rod and I was really keen to see it in action.

We were fishing off White Island cubing for big trevs and hauling them in. Boulder hooked one up on perhaps his first fish on his new Synit. To cut a long story short it went off like a shotgun. I was right beside the guy and I know he didn't high stick it BUT whatever happened it broke. I've known Boulder to be quiet before but he went into a 'don't mess with me I'm REALLY pissed off mode'. So you don't poke **** at the Large Stone when that happens.

Now he never claimed that the rod broke because of a fault .

Synit saw him right.

I know Graeme personally although it has been a loooong time, I've met CJ and always did regard Tiny as a good friend.

I see a pattern emerging here.

Good work the SYNIT team!

Pretty simple really, Tiny would have done the same thing and had done.
Seadoc's straight up honesty on how the rod was broken ticked the right boxes by me. No cock and bull story and that's as good as any warranty in my book...

When you've broken as many blanks and rods as I have in testing and development you know what's anglers fault and what's not... the break tells me all I need to know and being honest about from the beginning.... well say no more....

Being a novice rod builder i have been fortunate to get my hands on some of Synits surplus blanks.
When i have picked them up Graeme has always taken time to explain  builds and given tips.              I know he is a busy man.He is straight up and willing to share his wealth of knowledge.
A big thank you.Smile

Go Team Synit

Graeme is very passionate about his rod building as anyone who has met him knows and he should be very proud of the job he is doing, not just here but all over the world.

Im with you Fishz i'm a novice rod builder myself and Graeme has helped me out more than once. I recently bungled up and ordered the wrong reel seat for a rod I was building. Graeme offered to help me out and ended up giving me the right reel seat and expected nothing in return. He deserves whatever good things that come his way.

The service I've had from Graeme and Chloe with the building of my 5 rods has been fantastic, and I know any I get in the future will get the quality treatment as well...I have fortunately not damaged any, but I'm sure nothing is too much for the Synit Team. Top stuff team, keep up the good work...
