Evinrude have expanded their range further with the introduction of a quiet, smooth, overhead camshaft, single cylinder 5 HP for 1999. The package bristles with unique features, including a vibration isolation system which reduces tiller handle vibration at idle and wide open, easy access to all major engine parts without having to remove the power head to enable hassle-free servicing, and a hydraulic de-compression system to further enhance the ease of starting.

In addition, the engine design provides good mid-range power for heavy load applications, along with ensuring maximum horsepower and combustion efficiency. Trolling all day is a breeze due to electronic CD ignition with a linear timing device for smooth and quiet idling.
