Probably not new but to protect some important knots before tying I slide a small length of heat shrink electrical tubing onto line, tie knot, slide tubing over knot then lightly heat tubing which then shrinks and protects knot. Great with jigs or where abrasion could be a problem. Good luck & good fishing.
