Weed Free anchor - fresh water

Next time you have some spare concrete left over, fill a redundant plant pot that seem to turn up regularly. While the concrete is wet slip a couple of links of galvanized chain at the top.

Once set and tied to an anchor rope this will hold you in weedy lake areas without bringing up the bottom of the lake when you pack up. Doesn't actually have to be very big and heavy at all to hold a trailer boat, a 20cm dia pot filled with concrete will be all that is needed normally.
