To avoid tangled sabiki rigs on the boat, scrounge some small diameter (1") PVC pipe cut to length for the sabiki set in question.
To store the sabiki, simply leave the weight on the end, and lower into the tube. When the weight emerges at the other end of the tube, plug it gently with a cork - doing the same with the top end of the trace.
To deploy the sabiki quickly, just clip the swivel onto the bait rod, pull out both corks and lift the rig out of the tube - ready to go and no more tangled or kinked sabikis.
