While drift fishing with a sea anchor: The key here is keep your GPS on and Hit MARK/MOB when you hook up.
Keep these marks going on 4 -5 drifts and a triangle or pattern shape will appear from the mark locations on the GPS, inside those marks are the location of the schooling fish.

Around 100m is usually far enough for a drift or just keep going until the bites/hook-ups stop.
Alternate the distance of rope out on the Sea Anchor/sometimes the hoop even half out of the water, depending on wind, or tide+wind.
A Shallow spot to deep spot is ideal, stay in touch with line/Bait. Weights will need to change as well so you can get to the school with minimum weight but not have too much angle and therefore line in the water. Hook ups are a lot of fun, boat goes one way fish, go the other!! sometimes striking the rod is not necessary.
