Flyfishing - dropper storage

   Email to a friend

When flyfishing you will often find the need to change between a dryfly, dryfly dropper or nymph rig. Storing a dryfly dropper rig is a pain in the butt but when using expensive fluorocarbon you don't want to have to tie a new one everytime either.

By inserting a small picture hook eyelet in a wine cork you attach it to your vest and put a rubberband over the cork. When you want to store the dry dropper rig simply hook the dry into the cork, wind on the dropper and hook the nymph in as well. Fold the rubber band over the dropper line and it's out of the way until needed again.
