We all know that burley improves the fishing. Place a bag of blood and bone or burley (weighted with a few rocks according to surf conditions) just where the the backwash finishes after the broken swell has returned from foaming up the beach.
Do this at low tide and the berly will disperse well over the incoming tide flow. Put your casts in the general vicinity and your catch will increase significantly.
(While this is a good idea, we advise you attach the burley bag to some heavy line so you can retrieve and dispose of it when you've finished fishing - none of us want our wonderfull beaches littered with red nylon onion bags as they will eventually get washed up - The Fishing Website team)
