Weedy/Muddy bottom fishing

I found this out while course fishing weedy lakes in the Uk. When fishing with baits that have a "long life" in the water and you want to be on the bottom, but not to sink into the bottom of weed or mud. Use the little white squeeshy things you find in common packaging, thread them on to your line and they act as a pop up / float but after a few minutes dissolve away - try it.
